The TS 215 leverages Digital Check’s
experience in demanding applications to
utilize the most advanced design for
distributed check capture on the market
today. Designed expressly for small
volume applications, those that need to
scan 50 checks or less a day, Digital
Check’s TellerScan TS 215 single feed
scanner creates the highest quality images
for both sides of a check in just about one
second. Utilizing the drop-in feeder an
operator can scan 30 checks/minute,
making the TS 215 the ideal scanner
for these low volume applications.
The TS 215’s quiet operation does
not distract from customer service or
office activities. Using just 5" x 8 1/2"
of desktop or counter space, it fits neatly
into limited space environments. A short
U- shaped transport path, with separate
front and rear scan heads, provides
smooth operation and high reliability.
The jam resistant drop-in feeder is
ergonomically designed to ensure fast and
easy operation. The transport even handles
'thick' postcard style checks, and the exit
pocket tabs keep multiple checks of
varying sizes neatly stacked in order.
Dual tricolor CIS imaging modules
provide the highest image definition
available with today's countertop check
scanners. As each check is scanned, it is
analyzed before adaptive thresholding
into black and white using proprietary
software technology to sharpen the edges
of characters. This provides a clear, easy
to read image that supports Check 21
Image Quality and Usability (IQA & U)
standards. Combined with an anti-skew
transport, this gives superior CAR/LAR
(courtesy and legal amount recognition),
OCR/ICR recognition of machine print,
signatures, and name/address information.
Challenging items - checks with complex
backgrounds or with faint printing - may
be optionally captured and stored in
grayscale or color for research and better
customer service.
The TS 215 advances DCC’s Best
Read® MICR technology with improved
algorithms. The integrated magnetic
MICR reader passes the codeline information
to the controlling PC using the
high-speed USB2 link for decoding and
maximum accuracy through OCR
enhanced proprietary multiple verification
techniques. This delivers the highest
MICR accuracy read rate on these types
of scanners in the industry today.
